Newly diagnosed
joan baxter
Shockhello folks, seems we all have something in common!
i'm joan baxter by the way, and struggling to keep up a 'normal' lifestyle and battling against the cotton wool my family are trying to wrap around me.
thing is ive suffered symptoms for many years, thinking i had trapped wind, until 5 years ago when this condition really reared its ugly head and i was hospitalized on 3 separate occasions.
after a spell of about 6 months or so of chest pain, and an angiogram that proved i had a clear artery picture,it finally settled down, and in fact in that 5 years, ive maybe had around only 2 or 3 attacks which was dealt with gtn spray.
then came august of this year.BANG! i had full blown chest pain which was really painful,a 999 call from my gp's surgery sent me into hospital who discovered thta i'de had a mild heart attack.this in itself shocked me as i didn't realize you could have a ht with this condition!
to date i have been into ccu again since then and tried in vain to get some answers from the cardiologist and his team.the cardiac nurses admitted that no one seems to have any answers.by the way it was stated on a discharge report that i did have prinzmetals angina, but no one will commit to say how much is safe to do activity wise, and as i am a morris dancer , which is quite arobic, i'm not sure if thats ok to carry on or not.
sorry for my garbled message, a little mixed up......like me. HELP!!!!!

Joan, I have myocardial bridging. It is where a coronary artery is under the heart muscle instead of on top. Issue is can be squeezed and feel like a heart attack or is you CAD, can be serious. Usu
